May 2015

Dear Friends of Creative Living,

The mission of Creative Living is very simple: to provide independent living to adults with severe physical disabilities. In order to maintain our mission of independence, our residents require the helping hand of our Resident Assistants to support them with their daily activities.

In order to continue our service to the residents of Creative Living, each year we ask you to become a Sustaining Member of Service Board. There is no work involved on your part, only a tax-deductible donation of  $50 for a family or $35 for an individual membership.  Your gift allows us to fund activities for our residents such as the annual holiday party, fall tailgate, and welcome baskets for new residents. Membership dollars also go toward the Resident Relief Fund, used for emergencies or an unexpected expense to a resident.

Over the past few years, many residents have requested and received assistance from Creative Living in purchasing wireless routers. As you might know, each apartment at Creative Living is equipped with a wired internet connection, at no cost to the resident, but in the age of Smartphone’s, tablets and other mobile devices, Wi-Fi availability has become essential.  With funds from the Resident Relief Fund, residents can convert their wired networks into personal, private and secure wifi networks.

On behalf of the Service Board, a sincere thank you for your continued support of a very important and unique Columbus organization. We welcome anyone who would like to volunteer for future activities or come for a tour as well. Please feel free to contact Marilyn Frank, Executive Director, at 614-421-1226 for additional information.
